How Alkaline Foods Aid and Shield the Body
In order to have a healthy body that can resist different types of diseases, a person needs to achieve the correct ratio of acidic and alkaline foods, which is 70% alkaline and 30% acidic foods. When you are suffering from a disease that is coupled or triggered by acidosis (too much acid in the body), eating alkaline-producing foods help in faster recovery. This is due to the alkaline elements that neutralize the acid, which then helps in building a storage of alkaline components where the body can get in order to neutralize the acids when needed in the future.
Some of the most common alkaline foods you can have are fresh vegetables and fruits. Recommended vegetables include asparagus, cabbage, onion, radish, leeks, spinach, carrots and cucumber. You can also add artichokes, lettuce, cauliflower, beetroot, celery and cucumber into your diet. Aside from lemon, recommended fruits are avocado, grapefruit, watermelon, tomato and lime. |

I am looking for my next big adventure. There are still many places I want to visit and even more to which I want to return. The camera is charged up and my backpack is packed; drop me a line if you know where I should go next.
